Jeweller may send representation on procedural issues regarding imposition of Excise duty on Jewellery

NOTICE

Subject: Sub-Committee of the High Level Committee – Central Excise duty on articles of jewellery regarding.

Kind reference is invited to the Circular No. 1025/13/2016-CX dated 22.04.2016 and Circular No. 1030/18/2016-CX dated 18.05.2016, both issued vide F. No. 354/25/2016-TRU, on the subject above.

2. In this regard, associations related to the Jewellery trade may send their representation by 28th of May, 2016 on the procedural issues related to the imposition of Central Excise duty on articles of jewellery in the Union Budget 2016-17.

3. Some of the associations making these representations will also be called upon to state their case in person before the Sub-Committee during 30th of May, 2016 to 4th of June, 2016.

4. Such representations may be sent by mail to the highlevelcommittee@gmail.com or by post addressed to the Office of the High Level Committee (HLC), Suite No. 215, The Janpath Hotel, Janpath Road, Opp. BSNL Building, New Delhi-110 001.
