Release of File Validation Utilities (FVUs) and Return Preparation Utility
for e-TDS/TCS Statements
All TIN-Facilitation Centres (TIN-FCs) are hereby informed about the release of new
TDS/TCS FVU versions. These FVU versions are incorporated in Online SAM
application:-
New FVU versions for quarterly e-TDS/TCS statements are as follows:
FVU version 8.4 (applicable for quarterly e-TDS/TCS statement pertaining to FY
2010-11 onwards)
FVU version 2.180 (applicable for quarterly e-TDS/TCS statement pertaining
upon FY 2009-10)
FVU version 2.1310 (applicable for quarterly paper TDS/TCS statements
pertaining to FY 2007-08 onwards)
RPU version 4.9 (applicable for quarterly TDS/TCS statements pertaining to FY
2007-08 onwards)
Changes in TDS/TCS File Validation Utilities and RPU are as below:
– Bug fix in File Validation Utility for TDS/TCS statements
Return Preparation Utility (RPU) version 4.9 is hosted on the Protean website and can
be used for preparation of e-TDS/TCS statements. The said RPU can be downloaded
from the link https://www.protean-tinpan.com/downloads/e-tds/eTDS-downloadregular.html.
The aforementioned FVU versions are applicable with effect from November 24,
2023 onwards. All TIN-FCs are advised to note that e-TDS/TCS statements validated
with FVU versions lower than 8.4 or 2.180 will be rejected at Online SAM from such
date.
