EMPANELMENT OF CHARTERED ACCOUNTANTS /ADVOCATES AS TAX RETAINERS AND PANEL CONSULTANTS

Punjab National Bank invites applications from Chartered Accountants/Advocates for empanelment as (a) Tax Retainer at Zonal Office Bhopal and (b) Tax Consultants at Circle Offices at Bhopal, Indore, Raipur, Jabalpur, Gwalior Bilaspur for Service Tax, VAT, GST & other Indirect Taxes. The eligibility criteria and other terms & conditions for empanelment are as under:

1. CRITERIA FOR EMPANELMENT:

a.The Chartered Accountants/ Advocate having 5 years of experience in handling service tax/other indirect tax matters.

b.Only individual Chartered Accountants/Advocates will be considered for empanelment. Firms of Chartered Accounts/Advocates will not to be considered. However, name of firm can be mentioned along with the name of the individual advocate.

C. CAs/Advocates empanelled shall not appear in cases against the bank. They should be willing to abide by Bank’s terms and conditions as to fees, charges, submission of pleadings for approval etc.

d.Chartered Accountants/Advocates empanelled at State Head Quarters/places where CESTAT is located should be having sufficient experience to represent the case before CESTAT.

2. SCOPE OF WORK:

TAX RETAINER AT ZONAL OFFICE:

 

a. To provide necessary guidance/opinion to Circles under Bhopal Zone and vetting of reply to be submitted on behalf of Circle Offices related to Audit Observations/Show Cause Notices/Demand Notices issued by Service Tax

b. Preparation/submission/vetting of Appeals before the Commissioner (Appeals)/ CESTAT and to attend personal hearings on behalf of the Bank.

c. Any other matter relating to Service tax/ /VAT/GST/Other Indirect Taxes.

PANEL CHARTERED ACCOUNTANTS/ADVOCATES AT CIRCLE OFFICES:

a. Preparation/submission of reply to Audit Observations/ Show Cause Notice /Demand Notice issued by Service Tax Department to Circle Office and to attend personal hearings on behalf of the Bank.

b. Preparation/submission of Appeals before the Commissioner (Appeals)/ CESTAT and to attend personal hearings on behalf of the Bank.

c. Any other matter relating to Service tax/ /VAT/GST/Other Indirect Taxes.

3. SCHEDULE OF FEES:

a. TAX RETAINER: Maximum fees of Rs 25000/- per quarter.

b. PANELLED CONSULTANTS:

Note: Appearance above means appearance before appellate authority for argument. Appearance for taking dates or on occasions where bench is not functioning, adjournment etc. is part of the work and no separate fee shall be paid.

c. FOR ADVOCATES ON PANEL OF BANK FOR CASES BEFORE HIGH COURT/TRIBUNAL / SUPREME COURT:
