Portal Login For Taxpayers

    • Purpose [00:03]: This video explains the various ways taxpayers can log in to the e-filing portal to access all available services.
    • General Login Steps [00:44]:
      1. Go to the e-filing homepage and click “Login.”
      2. Enter your User ID (PAN or Aadhaar) and click “Continue.”
      3. Enter your password and click “Continue.”
    • Login Methods:
      • 1. Using OTP on E-filing Registered Mobile Number and Email ID [00:58]:
        • Ensure you have access to both your registered mobile number and email ID.
        • Choose how you want to receive the OTP on your mobile phone and click “Continue.”
        • Enter the six-digit OTP received on your registered mobile number or email ID and click “Login.”
        • Your dashboard will appear upon successful login.
      • 2. Using OTP on Aadhaar-Linked Mobile Number [01:24]:
        • If you are an individual taxpayer, you can also enter your Aadhaar number as the User ID.
        • Select the “Aadhaar OTP” option and click “Continue.”
        • If you already have an Aadhaar OTP, click on “I already have an OTP on my Aadhaar-registered mobile number.” Otherwise, click “Generate OTP.”
        • If generating OTP, agree to validate your Aadhaar details and click “Generate Aadhaar OTP.”
        • Enter the six-digit OTP received on your Aadhaar-registered mobile number and click “Login.”
        • Your dashboard will appear upon successful login.
      • 3. Using Net Banking [02:11]:
        • Ensure you have a valid bank account with net banking enabled.
        • Select the “Net Banking” option among other access methods.
        • You will be redirected to an e-filing login page via net banking, showing a list of banks offering single sign-on.
        • Choose your bank and click “Continue.” Read and understand the disclaimer before proceeding.
        • You will be taken to your bank’s net banking login page.
        • After logging into net banking, select the “e-Filing” link on your bank’s website/portal.
        • You will be redirected to your e-filing dashboard.
      • 4. Using Static Password [02:52]:
        • You must have a valid and active static password.
        • After selecting “another method” on the login page, choose “Static Password.”
        • Enter your static password and click “Login.”
        • Your dashboard will appear upon successful login.
      • 5. Using QR Code on ITD Mobile App [03:14]:
        • You can use the ITD app on your mobile phone to log in to the e-filing portal.
        • Go to the e-filing portal homepage on your computer and click “Login.”
        • Under “Other ways to access your account,” select “Mobile App.”
        • Scan the QR code displayed on your computer screen using the ITD app on your mobile phone.
        • Upon successful login, your dashboard will appear on your desktop.
      • 6. Using Push Notification on ITD Mobile App [03:54]:
        • Under “Other ways to access your account,” click on the option for “Push Notification” if you want to log in this way.
        • Enter your PAN in the User ID field and proceed.
        • Upon successful verification, the system sends a notification to the ITD mobile app.
        • On your mobile phone, click on the notification received in the ITD app (which will be displayed on the desktop screen as well).
        • Your dashboard will appear upon successful login.
      • 7. Using Time-Based OTP (TOTP) on ITD Mobile App [04:32]:
        • Under “Other ways to access your account,” click on the “TOTP” option if you wish to log in this way.
        • Clicking “Continue” will take you to the login page for time-based one-time password.
        • Open the ITD mobile app and click “Generate Code.” A code with 30 seconds validity will appear.
        • Enter this code and click “Continue.”
        • Your dashboard will appear upon successful login.
