Google has officially launched the Google Health Coach, a personal AI wellness assistant built with Gemini. It is rolling out as a core feature of the newly rebranded Google Health app (formerly the Fitbit app).

The coach is designed to act as a 24/7 fitness trainer, sleep expert, and nutritionist that adapts to your specific life context rather than following rigid templates.

Adaptive Guidance: Instead of static goals, the coach creates “Weekly Targets” that adjust based on your daily readiness, recent progress, and even local weather.

Multimodal Logging: You can log meals by snapping a photo, dictate workouts via voice, or even upload a photo of a gym whiteboard to track your session.
Health Record Synthesis: For users in supported regions, you can ask the coach to summarize complex medical records or lab results into easy-to-understand language.
SHARP Framework: Built on a foundation of Safety, Helpfulness, Accuracy, Relevance, and Personalization, with input from a panel of medical experts and NBA star Stephen Curry.

The rollout began on May 19, 2026, and is expected to reach all users by May 26.
