Witness the intense energy of the men’s 100m T47 final at the Commonwealth Games Glasgow 2026. Athletes with upper limb impairments compete in this high-stakes track event, testing speed and endurance to achieve a new games record.

In para-athletics, the T47 classification is a sport class designated for athletes with unilateral upper limb impairment.

Key details about this classification include:

• Scope: It primarily applies to competitors with a below-elbow or wrist amputation or other impairment that affects the shoulder and/or elbow joint of one arm.
• Designation: The “T” indicates that this classification is used for track events (such as the 100m sprint seen in the video), while “F47” would be used for corresponding field events.
• Purpose: This system ensures fair competition by grouping athletes with comparable activity limitations.
