NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 11th June, 2026

S.O. 2996(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by section 100 of the Industrial Relations Code, 2020
(35 of 2020), the Central Government hereby delegates its powers to the officers of the rank of Joint Secretary looking
after Industrial Relations in the Ministry of Labour and Employment, the power vested in it under sub rule (3) of rule 9
of the Industrial Relations (Central) Rules, 2026 to appoint verification officer for the purposes of recognition of
negotiating union or negotiating council under section 14 of the Code in establishments, where the Central Government
is the appropriate Government.

New Delhi, the 29th May, 2026

S.O. 2696(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by clause(68) of section 2 of the Code on Social Security,
2020 (36 of 2020) and in supersession of Ministry of Labour and Employment Notification number S.O. 796 dated
4th March 1997 except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the Central Government hereby authorises the officers specified in column (2) of the Table below in the offices specified in column (3) to exercise the powers of Recovery Officer under the Code for the areas mentioned in column (4) of the said Table in relation to establishments covered under Chapter III of the Code.

S.O. 2697(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (1) and (3) of section 122 of the Code on
Social Security, 2020 (36 of 2020) and in supersession of notifications of the Government of India, Ministry of Labour and Employment vide numbers S.O. 1913 dated 30th June, 2009 and S.O. 4287(E) dated 29th September, 2023, except respects things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the Central Government hereby appoints the officers specified in Column (2) of the Table below in the offices specified in column (3) to be Inspectors-cumFacilitators and confer upon them the jurisdiction specified in Column (4) of the said Table, for the purposes of Chapter
III of the said Code:-

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 29th May, 2026

S.O. 2698(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by section 127 of the Code on Social Security,
2020 (36 of 2020), the Central Government hereby specifies that the employer shall be liable to pay simple
interest at the rate of twelve per cent per annum on any amount due from him under the Code from the date
on which such amount has become due till the date of its actual payment.

2. This notification shall be deemed to have come into force on the 21st November, 2025.

S.O. 2699(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by section 128 of the Code on Social Security, 2020
(36 of 2020) and in supersession of Ministry of Labour and Employment Notification number S.O. 4921(E) dated 29th October, 2025 except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the Central Government hereby authorises the officers specified in column (2) of the Table below in the office specified in column (3) to levy on and recover from the employers by way of damages in the respective areas specified in column (4) of the said Table below in relation to establishments covered under Chapter III of the Code.
