S.O. 2182(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 29 of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act, 2005 (42 of 2005) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary and expedient so to do, hereby makes the following further amendments in Schedule I to the said Act, namely:—

In the said Act, in Schedule I, for paragraph 20, the following paragraph shall be substituted, namely:-

(20) “For all works taken up under the Scheme, by the Gram Panchayat and other implementing agencies, the cost of the material component including the wages of the skilled and semi-skilled workers, shall not exceed forty percent at the district level.”
