New Delhi, the 16th August, 2018

S.O. 3995(E).––In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 1 of The Negotiable Instruments
(Amendment) Act, 2018 (20 of 2018), the Central Government hereby appoints the 1st day of September, 2018, as the
date on which the provisions of the said Act shall come into force.
