BOI LOAN APPLICATION FORMS

BOI LOAN APPLICATION FORMS

The Bank of India (BOI) offers a suite of specialized “Star” loan products. These application forms are typically available as downloadable PDFs from the official BOI portal or at physical branches.

Below is a breakdown of the key points for each scheme and where to find the relevant forms:

1. Housing & Property Loans

  • Star Home Loan: The standard application for purchase, construction, or renovation. It requires property documents (Sale Deed/Allotment Letter) and technical estimates.

  • Star Mortgage Loan Scheme: Formally known as Loan Against Property (LAP). This form is used to get a loan or overdraft by pledging an existing residential or commercial property for personal or business needs.

  • Star Top-Up Loan: Often combined with the mortgage form, this is for existing home loan borrowers who need additional funds.

2. Personal & Lifestyle Loans

  • Star Personal Loan Scheme: The general-purpose form for wedding expenses, medical bills, or travel.

  • Star Holiday Loan: A niche personal loan form specifically for funding domestic or international travel.

  • Star Pensioner Loan: Tailored for individuals who draw their pension through BOI. It is a simplified application form with minimal documentation, usually requiring only a letter of authority to recover EMIs from the pension account.

3. Vehicle & Asset Finance

  • Star Autofit Scheme (Star Vehicle Loan): The application for financing two-wheelers or four-wheelers. It requires a “Proforma Invoice” from the dealer and insurance details.

  • Star IPO Application: Specifically for financing the purchase of shares during an Initial Public Offering. These forms are often time-sensitive and linked to specific market events.

4. Specialized & Social Schemes

  • Star Mahila Gold Loan Scheme: A dedicated gold loan application for women, often featuring concessional interest rates. It requires the physical pledge of gold ornaments.

  • Star Mitra Loan: A personal loan scheme specifically for physically challenged individuals to purchase durable sophisticated aids and appliances to promote their independence.

General Documentation Checklist for BOI Loans:

While each “Star” scheme has its own form, the following “KYC & Income” documents are universally required:

  • Identity Proof: PAN Card (Mandatory), Aadhaar, Passport, or Voter ID.

  • Address Proof: Latest Electricity Bill, Telephone Bill, or Aadhar Card.

  • Income Proof (Salaried): Last 6 months’ salary slips and 1 year of Form 16 / ITR.

  • Income Proof (Self-Employed): Last 3 years of ITR with CA-certified Balance Sheet and P&L account.

  • Bank Statements: Last 6 months’ statement of the primary operating account.

How to Access the Forms:

  1. Online Portal: Visit the BOI Download Forms Page and navigate to the “Loans” section.

  2. SMS/Missed Call: For specific schemes like the Star Personal Loan, you can send an SMS to 8467894404 or give a missed call to 8010968370 to receive a digital application link.

  3. Physical Branches: You can request these forms at any BOI branch. Many forms, such as the Mortgage Loan Form, are available in regional languages (e.g., Marathi, Hindi) for better accessibility.
