In persuance to order u/s 119 of Income Tax Act, 1961 dated 31.03.2020 vide F. No. 275/25/2020-IT(B), the certificate u/s 197/206C(9) issued in the format specified therein by Assessing Officer to the applicant through his/her official email, is valid.
Certificate numbers of issued certificate will be communicated in due course to the applicant. Therefore, Deductors/collectors are requested to cooperate with taxpayers, with regard to the email issued certificate without having certificate number.
Em-signer for DSC installed prior to May 27, 2020 must be uninstalled and then reinstalled due to the addition of a new patch.
