Wage Slip as per Code on Wages (Central) Rules 2026
Under the Code on Wages (Central) Rules 2026 of India , every employer is required to issue a wage slip to their employees on or before the payment of wages. The wage slip can be provided either electronically or in physical form and must be issued in the specific format of Form V.
A standard wage slip must contain the following detailed information:
- Establishment and Period Details: The name and address of the establishment, the date of issue, and the specific wage period it covers.
- Employee Information: The employee’s name, Father’s/Mother’s/Spouse’s Name, Designation, Universal Account Number (UAN), and Bank Account Number.
- Attendance/Work: The total attendance of the employee or the total units of work done during that wage period.
- Earnings: A breakdown of the rate of wages payable, which includes Basic pay, Dearness Allowance (DA), and other Allowances. It also lists any Overtime wages and calculates the overall Gross wages payable.
- Deductions: A record of total deductions made from the wages, specifically breaking down Provident Fund (PF), Employees’ State Insurance (ESI), and any other deductions.
- Net Wages: The final net wages paid to the employee after all deductions.
- Authentication: The signature of the employer or the pay-in-charge (this is specifically noted as a requirement if the register is maintained physically).
