Connect to more tools with Gemini in Google Workspace

Users will now be able to use Gemini in Workspace to directly interact with Asana, Atlassian Rovo, HubSpot, Intuit Mailchimp, Intuit QuickBooks, Monday, and Salesforce through Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations. This will enable them to access information directly without needing to switch tabs, download files, or interrupt workflows across our Google Workspace apps including Sheets, Gmail, Drive, Docs, Chat, and more.

Getting started

Admins: This feature will be ON by default for users with Gemini for Google Workspace access, and can be managed at the domain, organizational unit (OU), or group level in the Admin console under Apps > Google Workspace > Gemini for Workspace > Third-Party Connectors. Admins can control which third-party connectors are enabled for their organization and manage access policies. Visit the Help Center to learn more about managing third-party connectors for Gemini.
End users: Once enabled by an admin, end users can access third-party connectors through the Gemini side panel in Docs, Sheets, and Slides, as well as in Google Chat. Visit the Help Center to learn more about third party integrations with Gemini in Google Workspace.

Gemini in Google Workspace now allows direct interaction with popular third-party tools via Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations. This update enables you to access external data and perform tasks seamlessly without switching tabs or leaving your Google Workspace apps like Gmail, Docs, Sheets, and Drive. [1]

You can now connect Gemini to several prominent external productivity, sales, and marketing platforms: [1]

Asana: Manage and track project tasks.
Atlassian Rovo: Access organization-wide search and insights.
HubSpot: Bring in CRM, marketing, and client data.
Intuit Mailchimp: Check email marketing campaigns and audiences.
Intuit QuickBooks: Monitor business expenses and financial data.
Monday.com: Track workflows and team projects.

Third-party connectors are turned ON by default for users with Gemini for Google Workspace access, but administrators can manage these policies: [1]

Log in to the Google Admin Console.
Navigate to Apps > Google Workspace > Gemini for Workspace > Third-Party Connectors.
Control which connectors are allowed or restrict them at the domain, organizational unit (OU), or group level. [1]

Once your administrator enables the connectors, you can link them to your personal workspace account: [1, 2]

Go to the dedicated Google Workspace Marketplace Integrations page.
Select the tool you want to integrate (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
Click Connect and follow the on-screen prompts to authenticate and grant permission to your data.
Open the Gemini side panel in Docs, Sheets, Slides, or Google Chat to interact with your newly connected tools. [1, 2]
