FORM FOR INFORMATION OF TENANCY IN CHANDIGARH AS PER  the Assam Tenancy Act, 2021 (hereinafter referred to as the Principal Act), so extended to the Union territory of Chandigarh, ON 6TH MAY 2026 by Govt of india

FORM FOR INFORMATION OF TENANCY

The Form for Information of Tenancy, which must be submitted to the Rent Authority, is outlined in the First Schedule of the Act.

  • Personal and Contact Information: The form requires the names, addresses, mobile numbers, and email IDs of the landlord, the tenant, and the property manager (if one is appointed).
  • Mandatory Identification: It requires the Permanent Account Number (PAN) and Aadhaar number of the landlord, the tenant, and the property manager.
  • Property and Tenancy Details: You must provide a description of the rented premises (including any attached land), the duration of the tenancy, the exact date possession is given to the tenant, and details of any previous tenancy.
  • Financial Terms: The form must explicitly state the rent payable as well as any other charges the tenant is responsible for, such as electricity, water, extra furnishings, and other services.
  • Provided Amenities: It requires a list of any furniture and other equipment provided to the tenant by the landlord.
  • Required Enclosures: When submitting the form, the following documents must be attached:
    • The written Tenancy Agreement.
    • Self-attested copies of both the PAN and Aadhaar cards for both the landlord and the tenant.
  • Signatures and Photographs: The completed form must include the signatures and photographs of both the landlord and the tenant.
