NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 11th June, 2026

S.O. 2996(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by section 100 of the Industrial Relations Code, 2020
(35 of 2020), the Central Government hereby delegates its powers to the officers of the rank of Joint Secretary looking
after Industrial Relations in the Ministry of Labour and Employment, the power vested in it under sub rule (3) of rule 9
of the Industrial Relations (Central) Rules, 2026 to appoint verification officer for the purposes of recognition of
negotiating union or negotiating council under section 14 of the Code in establishments, where the Central Government
is the appropriate Government.
