Starting today, we’re introducing powerful new ways to create and iterate on video content in Google Vids using Veo. These updates provide all Vids users with the ability to create longer videos with consistent characters and generate multiple videos in parallel, enabling you to bring your vision to life faster than ever before.

  • Longer Veo videos: You can now extend existing video clips using Veo to create longer, more immersive content while ensuring perfect storytelling continuity across your scenes.
  • Generate multiple clips at once: Increase your productivity by kicking off multiple video generation requests at once, allowing you to explore different styles and prompts simultaneously to save time.

Here is how you can use these capabilities to streamline your video production:
Generating Multiple Videos at Once
To save time and explore different visual styles or concepts simultaneously, you can queue up several video generation requests in parallel directly within the Vids editor. [1]
  • Access the Tool: In your Google Vids project, navigate to the Generate video (Veo) tab in the right-hand panel.
  • Kick off parallel requests: Enter your prompt, refine your settings, and initiate generation. You can kick off multiple generation requests simultaneously without waiting for one to finish before starting the next.
  • Review and Select: Once processed, you can compare the different results and insert the best fits into your timeline. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

Creating Longer Veo Videos

While individual Veo clips are typically generated at 4, 6, or 8 seconds in length, you can extend existing video clips to maintain continuity across scenes. [1, 2, 3]
  • Use the Extend Feature: You can extend your original Veo clips to create longer, immersive content. The Vids AI media machine extends your scene seamlessly based on the action in the final second of your previous clip. [1, 2]
