(Section 30 of Tripura University Act, 2006) The Statutes of Tripura University Amendment in Statute 12A (1)

regarding the Constitution of the Executive Council of Tripura University

 

Notification No. F.TU/REG/MISC/01/2026.—

Short Title:

This may be called the Amendment in Statute 12A (1) regarding the Constitution of the Executive Council, Tripura University as communicated by the Govt. of India, Ministry of Education, Department of Higher Education, New Delhi vide letter F.No.18-22/2025-CU.I, dated 14.05.2025

1. Amendment in Statute 12A (1), regarding the Constitution of the Executive Council of Tripura University:

As existing To be inserted after amendment

 

12A (1) The Executive Council shall consist of the following members, namely:

  • Vice-Chancellor,Ex-Officio (i) Vice-Chancellor, Ex-Officio
  • Pro-Vice-Chancellor,if any, Ex-officio (ii) Pro-Vice-Chancellor, if any, Ex-officio

 

(iii) Two Deans, one from each faculty, by rotation according to seniority

 

  • One Professor, other than a Dean by rotation according to seniority, to be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor
    • Secretary of Higher Education, Govt. of Tripura
  • Two members of the Court, to be nominated bythe Visitor, none of whom shall be an employee of the University or a college or an Institution affiliated to or recognized by the University

(iii) Two Deans, one from each group of Faculties (Science/Non-science), by rotation according to seniority

  • One Professor, other than a Dean by rotation according to seniority, to be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor
    • Secretary of Higher Education, Govt. of Tripura
  • Two members of the Court, to be nominated by the Visitor, none of whom shall be an employee of the University or a college or an Institution affiliated to or recognized by the University

 

  • Three personsto be nominated by the Visitor   (vii) Three persons to be nominated by the Visitor

(viii) Nil (viii) The Secretary (Higher Education), Ministry of Education, Govt. of India or his/her nominee (Ex-officio Member)
