Exemption from DGFT licence to operate air transport services if permission from MCA

Subject: Amendment in policy condition 1 (e) of Chapter 88 of ITC (HS), 2012 – Schedule – 1 (Import Policy).

S.O. 2153(E).— In exercise of powers conferred by Section 3 of FT (D&R) Act, 1992, read with paragraph 1.02 and 2.01 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2015-2020, as amended from time to time, the Central Government hereby amends the Policy Condition 1 (e) of Chapter 88 of ITC (HS), 2012 – Schedule – 1 (Import Policy) as under:

2. Effect of this Notification: Policy condition 1 (e) of Chapter 88 of ITC (HS), 2012 is being revised to indicate exemption from DGFT licence for persons who have been granted permission to operate air transport services by Ministry of Civil Aviation and thereon DGCA has granted permission to import aircraft on that basis.
