NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 22nd July, 2026
G.S.R. 651(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section 1 of Section 3 of the Major Port
Authorities Act, 2021 and in supersession of the Notification of the Government of India, Ministry of Ports, Shipping
& Waterways (PHRD Division) G.S.R. No. 641 (E) dated 15th October, 2024, the Central Government hereby appoints
Principal Secretary, Highways and Minor Ports Department, Government of Tamil Nadu, in place of Secretary to
Government, Highways and Minor Ports Department, as a representative of State Government on the Board of Chennai
Port Authority under Section 3(1)(c)(i) of Major Port Authorities Act, 2021 with immediate effect and until
further orders.
