PART I

AMENDMENTS TO THE GOVERNMENT SAVINGS BANKS ACT, 1873

Commencement of this Part

113. The provisions of this Part shall come into force on such date as the Central Government may, by notification* in the Official Gazette, appoint.

†NOTIFICATION No. SO 1433(E) [F.No.2/12/2006-NS], New Delhi, the 31st March, 2018.—In exercise of powers conferred by section 113 of the Finance Act, 2018 (No.13 of 2018), the Central Government hereby appoints the 1st April, 2018 as the date on which the provisions of Part I of Chapter VIII of the Act shall come into force.
