NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 29th May, 2026
S.O. 2707(E).— In pursuance of clause (1) of article 239 of the Constitution, the President hereby
directs that the Lieutenant Governor of the Union territory of Ladakh shall, subject to the control of the
President and until further orders, exercise the powers and discharge the functions of the appropriate
Government under the Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Act, 2019 (40 of 2019), to formulate the
rules only within the said Union territory.
