NOTIFICATION

No. 1076-F.T., the 21st day of June, 2017.— In exercise of the power conferred by of section 3 of the West Bengal Goods and Services Tax Ordinance (West Ben. Ord. No. II of 2017) (hereinafter referred to as the said Ordinance), the Governor is pleased hereby also to appoint the following classes of officers, in addition to those appointed under other notifications issued in this regard, for carrying out the purposes of the Ordinance,—

(a) Senior Joint Commissioner of Sales Tax as appointed under sub-section (1) of section 6 of the West Bengal Value Added Tax Act, 2003, as Senior Joint Commissioner of State Tax under the said Ordinance;

(b) Joint Commissioner of Sales Tax as appointed under sub-section (1) of section 6 of the West Bengal Value Added Tax Act, 2003, as Joint Commissioner of State Tax under the said Ordinance;

(c) Deputy Commissioner of Sales Tax as appointed under sub-section (1) of section 6 of the West Bengal Value Added Tax Act, 2003, as Deputy Commissioner of State Tax under the said Ordinance;

(d) Sales Tax Officer as appointed under sub-section (1) of section 6 of the West Bengal Value Added Tax Act, 2003, as State Tax Officer under the said Ordinance;

(e) Assistant Sales Tax Officer as appointed under sub-section (1) of section 6 of the West Bengal Value Added Tax Act, 2003, as Assistant State Tax Officer under the said Ordinance.

2. This notification shall come into force with effect from the 22nd day of June, 2017.
