TAN Not Available in TAN MASTER – TAN Activation
Have you got the following Message from TDS CPC while registring the New TAN
Please enter TAN details as per details from “Know Your Tan Link” on incometaxindiaefiling site
Invalid Details could be because of
i. TAN Not Available in TAN MASTER OR
ii. All the statements filed for Financial Year 2009-10 and onwards are in cancelled state OR
iii. All the statements filed for Financial Year 2009-10 and onwards are NIL Statements (having ALL challans with amount=0)
Solution
I means
i) your TAN is newly allotted and it takes time to appear in TDS CPC database, You can pay the Challan using the TAN number without Login to Income Tax Portal .
You can use Epay Tax Option on Income tax portal and then enter TAN number and Mobile number and validate with OTP then you can pay the challan
After few days your TAN will be updated on TDS CPC website and then you can register on Income Tax portal through TDS CPC website.
