Google now expanding support to French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish.

Admins: There is no admin control for this feature.
End users: There is no end user setting for this feature. Visit the Help Center to learn more about converting Google Slides into Google Vids.

Google Vids now allows users to easily translate and convert their Google Slides presentations into narrated videos in 7 additional languages: French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish. [1]

This means you can instantly take your existing presentations and generate dynamic, AI-narrated videos for global audiences without manual re-recording or video editing. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

How to Convert and Translate Your Slides

Start in Google Vids: Open Google Vids and create a new video project, or open an existing video. [1]
Import Slides: Select the Convert Slides option to import your presentation directly from Google Drive. [1]
Choose Your Slides: Pick specific slides from your deck to include in the video. [1]
Select Language & Voiceover: In the Narration or AI Voiceovers card, enable the AI voiceover setting. You can then choose your preferred language and select an AI voice to match your audience. [1, 2, 3, 4]
Create the Draft: Click Create the draft video. Google Vids will automatically convert your slides into individual scenes with animated text and generated scripts. [1, 2]

Edit and Export

Once the initial video draft is created, you can review the AI-translated script on the right side of the screen and make manual edits as needed. You can also customize the background music and adjust the timing of each scene. When you are satisfied with the final product, click Share or Download to export it as an MP4 file or directly upload it to YouTube. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
