Gemini Notebook now gives you more creative control over Slide Decks and Video Overviews. Instead of jumping straight to a final output, Gemini Notebook can now walk you through a step-by-step creation flow so you can steer the content further and guide the visual style and format. Get started by asking for a presentation or video in chat or by tapping on “Slide Deck” or “Video” in the Studio panel.

Guided customization: In chat, Gemini Notebook suggests relevant focus topics, formats, and visual styles based on your sources. If you already know what you want, you can share specific instructions in your prompt and Gemini Notebook will pre-fill your selections without asking you to repeat yourself.
Outline and producer notes review: If you turn on the Review toggle, you can preview the slide deck outline or video producer notes in the Studio panel and give written feedback before generating the final output.
Quick first pass: If you prefer a quick output, you can still have Gemini Notebook generate a Slide Deck or Video Overview right away without the extra review step.

Getting started

Admins: There is no admin control for this feature. Visit the Help Center to learn more about turning Gemini Notebook on or off for users.
End users: End users can turn on “Review outline” or “Review producer notes” to use this feature. Visit the Help Center to learn more about generating Video Overviews and Slide Decks in Gemini Notebook.

Google has introduced “Co-creation” capabilities in Gemini Notebook, giving users significantly more creative control over Slide Decks and Video Overviews. 🛠️ The New Co-Creation Workflow

The new creation process walks you through three main phases right inside your workspace: [1, 2]

Steer the Content: Start in the chat by asking Gemini Notebook to build your slides or video overview. Based on your uploaded source documents, the AI will suggest relevant focus topics. From there, you can choose or type a focus topic, and select your preferred format, length, language, and visual style. [1, 2, 3]
Review the Plan: To prevent the AI from missing crucial details, toggle on the new Review toggle. This opens up a blueprint in the studio panel:
- “Review outline notes” for Slide Decks
- “Review producer notes” for Video Overviews [1, 2]
Refine & Proceed: While reviewing the plan, you can feed direct text adjustments back to the AI. For example, you can demand an executive summary at the start or swap the sequencing of specific scenes. Once you approve the plan, click Proceed to render the final artifact. [1, 2, 3, 4]

End Users: It is available to all Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers. Users simply need to turn on the “Review outline” or “Review producer notes” toggle within their workspace to see the features.
