Now, automatic syncing keeps your sources dynamically linked; as your Drive documents evolve, NotebookLM’s underlying context and generated insights update in real time.

Workspace users on the web can now securely share snapshots of their multi-turn Gemini chats, canvases, and AI-generated media. Because this sharing infrastructure leverages native Google Drive permissions, it uses the exact same trusted access-control interface organizations already use to share documents safely.

Workspace Studio Step Controls

Administrators have been granted more granular governance inside Workspace Studio. Admins can now selectively restrict or permit specific automated steps and triggers (“starters”) on an individual or per-service basis, preventing unvetted automated workflows from running across enterprise environments.

Google Chat Interoperability with Microsoft Teams

These clear banners alert users if external organizations or unverified domains are interacting with a file, drastically lowering the risk of accidental data exfiltration or internal phishing spoofs.
CSE Slides Export (Beta): Administrators managing Client-Side Encrypted (CSE) data can now use Google Vault or Google Takeout to bulk-export fully encrypted presentation decks and seamlessly convert them into PowerPoint (.pptx) formats, maintaining complete security over sensitive assets during migrations.
Classroom Standards Tracking: For educators, Google Classroom now allows assignments, rubrics, and learning materials to be directly tagged with specific educational standards and core skills, offering streamlined, structured progress tracking over the academic year.
