NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 24th June, 2026
S.O. 3380(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 1 of the Jan
Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Act, 2026 (8 of 2026), the Central Government hereby appoints the 1st
July, 2026 as the date on which the provisions at serial number 36 in the Schedule to the said Act, relating
to the Public Premises (Eviction of Unauthorised Occupants) Act, 1971 (40 of 1971), shall come into force.
