CSB Bank Term Deposit Opening Form Download

The CSB Bank Term Deposit (FD/RD) Opening Form is designed for existing individual and non-individual customers to establish fixed or recurring deposits.

• Categories: Available for Resident (Domestic), NRE, NRO, FCNR, and NRE Plus accounts.
• Types: Offers Fixed Deposits (Cumulative/Reinvestment), Recurring Deposits (RD), Tax Saving scheme, and Senior Citizen deposits.
• Callable vs. Non-Callable: Customers can choose “Callable” or “Non-Callable” deposits, where non-callable variants strictly prohibit premature closure.

• Default Option: Auto-renewal is enabled by default for regular deposits, automatically renewing the principal and interest for a similar tenure at prevailing rates.
• Exemptions: Auto-renewal facility does not apply to Recurring Deposits, NRE Plus, Tax Saving, and Non-Callable deposits.
• PAN Requirement: Deposits opened without a PAN will not be auto-renewed. The bank closes them at maturity and credits the proceeds to the designated account.

• Death Benefit: If a depositor dies, premature closure is permitted without penal charges, even for lock-in or non-callable deposits.
• Tax Deducted at Source (TDS): Interest earned is subject to TDS. If the accrued interest is insufficient to cover the tax, the bank recovers the shortfall directly from the deposit’s principal amount.

• Eligibility: Form features a dedicated multi-nominee layout under sections 45-ZA to 45-ZE of the Banking Regulation Act.
• Simultaneous vs. Successive: Customers can opt for Simultaneous Nomination (up to 4 nominees with explicit share percentages totaling 100%) or Successive Nomination (up to 4 nominees prioritized by order of survival).
